DIRECTIONS:
From Coniston follow A593 toward Ambleside. The road to Tilberthwaite is on the left after about 1 mile.
Follow this minor road for another mile and park in the former quarry. The fold is below the road to the right and beside the river. Slate has been built into the walls of the fold in different directions so that it collects light in different ways.
