The first sheepfold from which Andy Goldsworthy’s Arch started its journey south was at Spango Farm, near Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire (NS 829 192) [Not shown on map]

DIRECTIONS:
The fold can be seen at a distance from the road in a field beside Spango Farm. The farm is on B740, 8 miles north of Sanquhar toward Crawfordjohn.
